About the Training

"Understanding Mental Health Language" is a free interactive session by Mind Share Partners that explores the ways in which we name and talk about mental health at work, why it's important, and the impact this has on our beliefs and behaviors.

This is a live, virtual, and interactive 45-minute session for HR, People, Talent, and Culture leaders, as well as managers across organizational departments. This is a great opportunity to experience our training typically reserved for the organizations that partner with us.

Topics will include:

  • Naming mental health. An interactive discussion defining common mental health terminology and discussing the pros and cons of each.

  • How to talk about mental health. A short informational segment discussing how we talk about and describe mental health, and why it's important. Includes opportunity for group shares and self-reflection.

  • Language to avoid. Specific words and language to avoid and why they can be harmful.

  • A summary of strategies and best practices.

  • Allyship. A concluding section that offers a short framework and actionable strategies to create a safe and inclusive culture for workplace mental health.

This session is free thanks to our sponsor, Calm!
